Hon. Todd Tiahrt began his career as an engineer, working at Zenith Electronics and Boeing, where he focused on defense and aerospace projects. While at Boeing, he was elected to the Kansas State Senate, where he served two terms. In 1994, Tiahrt was elected to Congress, defeated an 18-year incumbent. He served 16 years in Congress, where he championed aviation, defense, and economic growth, and served on the Appropriations Committee from 1997 through 2010. After retiring from Congress, Tiahrt’s expertise led him to consult in the aviation and aerospace sectors, eventually becoming CEO of Neumann Systems Group, where he expanded the company’s technology into new markets. Returning to consulting in Washington and Wichita, Tiahrt continues to influence the industry, balancing his professional endeavors with a personal life in Kansas and Virginia.
